We are Five Feet Films: an independent film production company based in the UK, created by Marc Mason and Linda Chirrey. We came together through a shared love of imagery, colour, creative storytelling, animation and photography.

“I am a writer, director and producer. I studied film at the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français in Paris. I have directed five short films from Super 8 to Anamorphic 35mm and a feature documentary. I conceived The Man with the Jazz Guitar as a cross-media project and loved the extra room it gave me to tell Ken Sykora’s story through not being limited to one medium. I enjoy experimenting with new technology and traditional photography techniques, but my passion is Cinema and I am currently exploring new storytelling techniques."

“I am Five Feet Films’ managing director, producer and resident artist. Originally from Scotland, I trained as a scientist and have worked in management, film production and procurement. However, art and imagery is my passion – film, fine art, animation, cartoon, graphic art. I am perpetually fascinated by the power of line and colour. As well as serving as producer, I designed the characters, created the animation and artwork for The Man with the Jazz Guitar."
